MOTHERS AND FATHERS

Urgent message FOR MOTHERS & FATHERS
In a generation such as ours, where Christian children are more familiar with the latest Soap opera and cartoons on TV, than their Bibles, which many consider boring, this message is very important
Manasseh was twelve years old when he became a king and led the nation of Israel into Idolatry that his father King Hezekiah never practised.
Josiah on the other hand was just eight years old when he turned the nation of Israel back to God, their Father. (2 Kings 23) and the Scripture has this to say about him.
I fear for the next generation If we allow our children to continue in this thread of complete embrace of the norms of the world and have very little knowledge of the Christian norms.
The greatest teachers in the home are the parents, for children will easily copy what parents do.
It is more effective when children do as we do rather than been advised to do as we say for our actions and attitudes are louder than our words.
The sad news is that when we fail to adequately train our wards in the ways of the Lord, they may become source of concerns for us in the future.
The Enemy is cleverly introducing rebellion in the hearts of young people to the ways of God through the various seemly innocent films, cartoons. and conversations at school.
Outwardly, they appear respectful and religious but inwardly, they are waiting to get out of our sight and do wrongs.
It is more common and trendy to give in to corruption and immorality in the Society than to turn away from it.
The average teenagers believe it takes tons of supernatural power to say No to the ills in the Society.
The average Christian teenage is not used to self denial or a life of strict discipline in any form or order- for to be asked to deny self is liken to suffering and hardship.
We.know that Christ has won the victory for us. We know that we' ve only got to believe in this victory to access it but loving and accepting the lifestyle of discipline and self denial is part of our redemptive package; for God chastise the son, He loves.
