MARY AND JOSEPH MARRIAGE TEMPLATE
AN INYRODUCTION

The Kingdom of God is about His purposes and plans for His beloved- The Believers. 

Jesus Christ our Saviour and Lord demonstrated His complete submission to the 'Will' of the Father in the Graden of Gethsemane when He cried out " Not my Will but thy Will be done" 

In as much as we have made an attempt to demonstrate that God has created man as a free agent who has the right to the use of their 'Will' to make choices in their careers,and life endeavours, the marriage institutions inclusive.

Yet, God expects the sons and Daughters of the Kingdom of Christ- (purchased and redeemed by the blood of Jesus) to have a continually walk with Him and not just work for Him or work with Him.

Phrases like ' I work for God',  and ' I work with God' are beautiful but we must graduate to the level of a deep with relationship as God required from Abraham when He told him in Genesis 17

 "When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to him and said, “I am God Almighty; walk before me faithfully and be blameless."

The marriage template of Mary and Joseph is unique in the sense that it is a marriage template that has Divine purpose tied to it and is strongly influenced  bydivine revelations and purposes beyond the  believer natural desires and inclination.

Mary was carefully selected for one of the most important assignments in the Kingdom of God and The New Testament Church 
Although she was a Jew, she must come from a specific tribe in Israel. Joseph - her husband was also restricted by divine choice to satisfied certain criteria to be eligible for this divine purpose. Genesis 49:8-10 especially verse 10.and Matthew 1:16
IMPORTANT QUESTION
Was God involved in the initial marriage cgouc3 of Joseph choosing Mary?
ANSWER
The Bible dis not stated so and l cannot supply to the answer to that question 
The Bibke only stated that Mary was betrothed to Jiseph. In a contemporary language ' Mary was engaged to.Joseph'. And their engagement at that era is backed by signing of legal documents and is just as been married legal in modern age. 
The only difference is a ceremony has not been conducted.
The Bible recorded that God came into their affairs when Joseph was considering divorcing Mary privately to save her from embarrassing because she was pregnant though Joseph never had any sexual contact with her 
MODERN APPLICATION OF THE TEMPLATE
1. Mary would not have qualified for the divine purpose for her life if she had not remained a vurgin when she was espousal to Joseph.
For her to fulfill the divine mandate for her life, she must be a virgin.
2. If Joseph had met a beautiful lady with beautiful godly character like Ruth, who was passionate about the God of Israel. He can marry because he likes her but he will not qualify for that divine assignment 
This assignment comes with a price tag backed by prophecy " a virgin will give birth" Isaiah 7:14.

MODERN SCENARIO
The most important lesson from the various marriage templates is the need to have a walk with God, our Father and live in obedience to Christ' s instructions.
Although, believers are also creature of free 'Will', we must ensure that our desires and aspirations aligns with the purposes and plans of God in all things.
Apostle Paul and his companion had plans but let see the scenario that unfolded:

"Paul and his companions traveled throughout the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been kept by the Holy Spirit from preaching the word in the province of Asia. 

When they came to the border of Mysia, they tried to enter Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus would not allow them to. 

So they passed by Mysia and went down to Troas. During the night Paul had a vision of a man of Macedonia standing and begging him, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” 
Acts 16: 6-10
Joseph was.comtemplating divorcing Mary quietly when an angel appeared to him to stop.his.decisions and his divine purpose was revealed to Him 
I believe that men and women called into the five fold ministries especially Leaders and pioneers should adopt this marriage templates of carefully consulting with the Spirit of God before making the choice of who to Marry.
Moreso, every man must have an idea about his divine purpose before he thinks of choosing the right partner that is a 'Helper- suitable'  for his heart and his purpose 
I pray the Holy Spirit will give us better understanding of this matter

Love is a Broad Word that is used in many circles. It's various symbols of giving hugs, blowing kisses, having a dreamy eyes towards it subject and many other shows that is a virtue widely accepted by all as very important  I grew up in a environment where the Word Love was mostly used when there is a relationship between the opposite sex.
