LOYALTY CRIES ON THE STREET

Loyalty is needed in every aspect of relationships.

Relationship between God and men; husband and wife, shepherds and flock, leaders and their followers, followers and their leaders and children and parent.

There are many things done in the secret- the heart as your thoughts and in the privacy that is not known to men but that is witnessed  by the Almighty.

TEST OF LOYALTY IN MARRIAGE

Apart from disloyalty to Jesus Christ our LORD and Saviour, disloyalty to your marriage partner is next in line.

"You weep and wail because he no longer looks with favor on your offerings or accepts them with pleasure from your hands.

 You ask, “Why?” It is because the Lord is the witness between you and the wife of your youth.

 You have been unfaithful to her, though she is your partner, the wife of your marriage covenant." Mal. 2:13-16

The Marriage covenant is one of the strongest covenant between a man and a woman. It is stronger than the relationship between a father and his daughter. Though the daughter is the seed of her parents, she did not become one flesh with them as she does with her husband..

This is why the husband has the Power of Attorney  to replace the woman's maiden name with his own. He was given the right and power to uproot her from her culture and family and plant her in his culture and family.

God chosen the marriage relationship to symbolise the relationship between Christ and his Church:  The believer/ the Church is the Bride and Christ is the Groom.. There is the great anticipated marriage of the Lamb. 

But under the Law, the Israelites were regarded as the partner to the Almighty who is their husband because there is an actual BLOOD  covenant between the male Israel through circumcision. 

ABIGAIL PROTECTED HER FOOLISH AND WICKED HUSBAND

Abigail was married to a fool and a wicked man named Nabal and the decisions and the actions of her foolish husband brought a death warrant against his household. David vowed by the name of the Lord to kill every male in the family of Nabal 

The verdict of David would not have affected Abigail in any way. Moreso she could have been free from Nabal, her wicked action.

Yet she remained Loyal to him and ACTED QUICKLY when Nabal was in danger. 1Sam. 25:18

SPIRITUAL NUGGETS

1. Every woman/man entered a covenant on the Wedding Day to remain loyal to your partner above others. Therefore you must always put the interest and welfare of your wife/husband above others

2. It is the responsibility of the wife and husband to protect each other against negative influences of external parties of friends, in-laws, enemies (etc) .and any harm either verbal or physical.

3. 'Be ye perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect' means act, think like Christ and His Word dictates. This does not mean personality or behavioural flawlessness.

You must lovingly tolerant your spouse flaws at all times and have faith that the Holy Spirit works will transform them. 

But learn to act quickly when the need arises financially, emotionally (etc) on their behalf without nagging or.complaining. This is TRUE LOVE, accepting the all package without been irritated continually by the flaws.

4. Protecting your partner flaws does not mean you cover up physical battering and  abuse  from your spouse. 

Quickly seek counsel from the appropriate authority for help for the necessary line of action.

Severe Emotional and Verbal abuse can lead to mental problems and Physical abuse can lead to death. Seek counsel when needed.
