MARY NEEDED MORE THAN FAVOUR

AN EXCERPT FROM MY UNPUBLISHED BOOK.

MARY NEEDED MORE THAN FAVOUR

All men and women are ordained for greatness in life and destiny, we were created in the likeness and image of a great God.

Moreso, for believers in Christ Jesus -The Lamb of God was slain to secure this for us. Rev.. 5:12.

But not all men/women become great in the fulfillment of their destiny. (You can get my definition of greatness from my Book when it is in the market.

There was a prophecy which stated one of the qualifications for the mother of the Savior of the World. Prophecy spoken generations before the birth of Christ. Prophecy waiting for the damsel who will walk in the path of preparation and training to enter it's corridor of fulfillment

Prophecy had already gone ahead that the womb that would give birth to the Redeemer must be untouched and unhampered by fornication and its consequences.

“All these took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: the virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him ‘Immanuel’ (which means ‘God with us’) Matthew 1:22

More so, she must be a virgin, no man must have slept with her, The sin of fornication would have disqualified any damsel who had the desire to become the Savior’s mother.

We must be careful on how we live our lives and our daily actions and decisions. You must know that because you are elected to fulfill God's purpose does not mean you will be selected.

Anyone called by God is ordained to be chosen for divine assignment, but preparations and training will always determine those who will become great in their God given purpose

Like the contest for the replacement of  Queen Vashti and the search for a wife for Isaac, many virgins would have  been interested in becoming the mother of the MESSIAH (they were virgins and the prophecy says ‘ The virgin.’)

Many women would want to have the honour of birthing the LORD of Lords and King of kings but God knew the full qualification for this important task and the chosen person must be carefully elected and selected.

Prophecy stated- a virgin would give birth but the Bible did not categorically state that the virgin would be Mary, the lady betrothed to Joseph- the carpenter. Certain preparations qualified Mary for this important assignment.

God is a merciful God and is in the business of showing kindnesses. But Ruth would not have qualified to be the mother of the Savior if she lived in the era of Mary.

Ruth was used by God for a different purpose in divine calendar and her background and preparation qualified her for it.
But in the case of a mother for the Savior, intact virginity is one of the ‘Kokos’ of the matter.

 WHAT QUALIFY MARY?
