"Then Peter remembered the word Jesus had spoken: “Before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times.” And he went outside and wept bitterly.' Matthew 26

The Almighty in His wisdom has made it almost impossible for any believer to fall away from His love and kindnesses.

"The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever; he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us" Psalm 103

The truth is that everything received in the Kingdom is received by grace. He has made provision for our mistakes and shortcomings as shown in 1John 1:9. So if anyone falls away from His grace and love, we must be so sure that God had done His best to keep such from sin and error and bring about full restoration.

Satan desired to have Peter ( The man, Jesus was depending on to feed His Sheep after His death and of course resurrection.)
Our Lord Jesus knew about it from Heaven's CIA and informed Peter; but He did not just inform Peter about the plot of the Enemy, He prayed for Peter that his faith remained intact after the demonic encounter.

Whenever the weaknesses of others are revealed to a believer in the place of fellowship is that we pray and not announce it to our friends.
Satan indeed came for Peter but Christ prayer and intercession sustained him.

And this is the greatest part of the story for me. PETER FAILED BUT DID NOT GIVE UP ON HIMSELF. HE FORGAVE HIMSELF AND WAS RESTORED.

You must learn to forgive yourself after God has forgiven you. Though our Lord Jesus said it would better than the man who betrayed Him was never born but l know as the truth that " GOD HAD EXALTED HIS SEAT OF MERCY ABOVE THAT OF JUDGEMENT.........(Just thinking aloud.)

Peter dust away his mistake and became a general that the Holy Ghost used to set the Church of Christ in motion.

Love is a Broad Word that is used in many circles. It's various symbols of giving hugs, blowing kisses, having a dreamy eyes towards it subject and many other shows that is a virtue widely accepted by all as very important  I grew up in a environment where the Word Love was mostly used when there is a relationship between the opposite sex.
