In general, Life and circumstances will test your persuasion in every biblical truth you have embraced. 
Either you bargain for it or not, this test will surely come if you have received Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.

Our LORD Jesus was not left out for He sat for  His first semester examination in 'The School of Conviction of Bible Truths'; when the Enemy came to test His understanding and persuasion of Bible Truths.
In Matthew 4:1 "Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil......

THE SPIRIT LED HIM
Jesus Christ is our perfect example, and we must learn to follow any man as long as they follow Christ.
And if the Holy Spirit led Christ - (The WORD, John 1:1-2) to the wilderness to be tested by Satan; the Enemy will certainly examine your understanding  and convictions of Bible Truths.

Satan is a master of deception, subtility and lies and He will use it against all. He will always attack the Saints in deception because one of his strongest point is his wisdom ( He is perfect in wisdom Ezekiel 28).
But the Bible reveals in Col. 2:13-15  especially verse 15 that you have complete victory over every schemes, strategies and wiles of the Evil One.  

 Christ Jesus defeated Satan and his Kingdom (Colossians 2:15) and greater is the One in you than the one in the world. (1 John 4:4) 

FIRST TEMTATION
You have fasted for forty days and hungry..... turn Stone to bread
QUESTION 1
Was Jesus Christ hungry and He needed Bread?
Yes, the Lord was hungry after He.had fasted for 40 Days for the purpose of God and needed to eat.

But if the LORD has to use the anointing/power he was given  to bless.humanity just to produce food to meet only His need at the suggestion of Satan is certainly not the way of the Father.

Moreso, the Holy Spirit led Him to the wilderness,  and if He needed to turn stone to bread to meet His physical need, the Holy Spirit would have told Him to do so.

NUGGET (1)
That an action is GOOD, does not meet it is RIGHT, it is only good and right, if God approves of it.

It is the Church of Jesus Christ and we must ensure that all actions and decisions are influenced by the Holy Spirit and not just for self gratification and not initiated by the Enemy.

THE REAL PURPOSE OF SATAN TEMPTING CHRIST

1. Jesus  should use the anointing  met for God's people (Luke 4;18)  to satisfy His own needs. If Christ Jesus had failed the test of Matt. 4:1-3, then Luke 4:14-42 would.habe been a mirage. ( It would never had happened) Many people don't get promoted to higher realms of glory because they failed the test needed.for that realm

2. The Enemy was telling Jesus Christ our Master ' Although, the Holy Spirit has been the one leading and guiding your actions till now,  Come under my(Satan) leadership  by doing what l ask of you.

The Enemy always seeks to replace and hijack  the position of The Holy Spirit in your life with the activities of familiar spirits from Satan. Roman 6:16.

We must guide with all diligence our relationship with Jesus Christ by ensuring He is your guidance in all things. Truly, He can use His Servants, the fivefold ministry to guide you but ensure you develop your spiritual.hearing.ability.

You need certainly need it in this era.
