THE PROPHET WHO COLLECTED SEED FROM A WIDOW
In as much as every Believer has the Holy Spirit within us and has access to the blessings of God; but we must understand that we may not have the knowledge and understanding to access this inheritance at the inception of our Faith.
So Galatians says ' a heir as long as he is a child, is placed under tutors and what is the job of these tutors
To teach the heir on how to possess his possessions.
You will always need the Pastors, Prophets, Teachers, Apostles, Evangelist and other ministry gifts because they are specifically anointed for their offices.
I think one of the ways to get to the top faster than your knowledge, wisdom and anointing is to attach your self to a the fivefold ministry gifts and soar on their wings until you are matured to develop your own and even then you will still need their graces because they are our fathers in the faith.
So God sent Elijah to a widow with one son for what purpose?
so that the widow will feed Elijah- a prophet of God with her last meal.
What? the Almighty will never do a selfish act as such.
."Some time later the brook dried up because there had been no rain in the land. Then the word of the Lord came to him: “Go at once to Zarephath in the region of Sidon and stay there. I have directed a widow there to supply you with food"
I Kings 17:7-8
“As surely as the Lord your God lives,” she replied, “I don’t have any bread—only a handful of flour in a jar and a little olive oil in a jug. I am gathering a few sticks to take home and make a meal for myself and my son, that we may eat it—and die.” Elijah said to her, “Don’t be afraid. Go home and do as you have said. But first make a small loaf of bread for me from what you have and bring it to me, and then make something for yourself and your son. For this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: ‘The jar of flour will not be used up and the jug of oil will not run dry until the day the Lord sends rain on the land.’” She went away and did as Elijah had told her.
1 Kings 17:12-15.
THE THINGS THE WIDOW DID
1. She gave to a Man of God in a time of famine ( Because God commanded her to do as showed in I Kings 17: 7.)
Always ensure your giving is greatly influenced by the Spirit leading.
2. She shared her last meal with others in need- a servant of God and the anointing on the prophet of God preserve her and her Son in a season of famine.
TRUST THE ALMIGHTY TO ALWAYS TAKE OF THE WEAK AND HELPLESS.
TWALE BABA IN HEAVEN!
3. Prophet Elijah did not go to her by his own decision. God topd him to go.
Sometimes, what Gid leads you to do may not make agree with what you are thinkinh but we must learn to follow his voice
God send his prophet to the widow to take care of her present problem and also take care of the future problem that she did not know existed.
The enemy planned to kill her only son. And our caring Father sent his prophet to be on ground to address the problem.
The same happened with the Shunamite woman with Elisah.
4. God does not answer your prayers just because you are beautiful and very good.
God answers the prayers of His children in Jesus name because whenever prayers are answered on the ticket of the name of Jesus Christ, glory goes to the Father . John 14:13
This is why God answers the prayers of those who perform miracles, raise the death and even cast devils in the name of His Son in Matt. 7:21-23 though they were workers of inquity.
Answered prayers in Jesus name always brings glory to the Father with the Earth exclaiming
THERE IS A GOD IN HEAVEN WHO ANSWERS PRAYER, then all creatures bow to worship the ONLY KING OF ALL kings.
