THE POWER OF YOUR SOUL

The Human soul is so important and has the power to either enhance or hinder the workings of the Holy Spirit in man and through a ma to hin on earth.

When the Holy Spirit entered your inner man (spirit) through the new birth  experience at age 5,12, 20, 40, 65, 89 depending on the age, you gave your life to Christ, your inner man experiences the new birth and now has the Life and nature of the Spirit.

"The Holy Spirit begins the operation of revealing the Will of the Father to you and He does this in your spirit man.

 “I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. 

He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 

He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you.

 All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.” John 16:13-14

It means a man or woman who attends church, is a worker in the church but does not have the Holy Spirit in the inner man cannot hear God. You are only a child of God if your inner man has experienced the new birth by the Holy Spirit.

In 1 Cor 2:8, the Bible states that the Holy Spirit will reveal all that God has for us and these revelations , information, treasures from God are deposited in the spirit man and transported.through the Human soul to be expressed and executed through the Human body.

Though your spirit man became new at the New Birth, you soul remains unregenerated, that means it remains unchanged with the same information, ideas, thoughts, attitudes etc

Let's use the three arms of government to express the above. Your spirit man can be likened to the Legislature arm of government, while your soul is likened to the Judiciary and your body termed as the Executive arm of government.

If the Legislative make sound laws and the Judicial misinterpretes the law pass on by the Legislative, the actions carried out by the Executive arm of government would be wrong.

This is how powerful your Human soul is to the execution of the Will and purpose of the Father on earth for your personal life, family and even the Body of Christ.

The faculties of the Human soul includes the following:

 THE VOLITION- The Will of man; which is responsible for the execution of your decisions. Your will has an inert power to say YES or NO to any issue or decision.

So if an instruction originates from the Holy Ghost in your spirit man, your Will can either kick against it or agree to obey it. And the Human body follows the direction of the Will excerpt an external compelling force is involved.

YOUR INTELLECT- The mind of a mind is one of the most powerful tools for witty inventions on earth. 

There is something called the mind/mental power that can be cultivated, nurtured and developed  by the gathering and applying of knowledge. 

A Believer's mind can stand as a stumbling block to the work of the Spirit if such mind is not renewed by the Word of God.

JEHOVAH HAS A HEART

One of my most favourite Bible  sentences is Genesis 6:6b-He was sorry he had made them. It broke his heart.

I came across this bible passage for the first time as a new convert and the phrase it broke his heart jumped at me. 

 Then I realised for the first time that the Almighty has a heart whose feelings can be hurt by my actions. 

Other versions say " And it grieved his heart, 

Just as unrequited love is heart broken to a lover, so our actions can grieve God.  loving a guy who does not  reciprocate yr love  can be hurtful. .You may have a smile pasted on your face for the world but your  heart may be  shedding tears profusely,  Sometimes we view God as the Almighty, so big that nothing can hurt Him. Truly He is bigger than what we can imagine. Truly He does not need us to be God, He is God alone from the first and the last .

But it is certainly humbly to me that my love+struck Jehovah is grieved by some of my actions and thoughts. It is a rare privilege that my actions can hurt him, make him sad.

The passage says, it broke his heart that he has created man.

I must sit quietly and study and examine if any of my action is displeasing to my God who loves me so much. I mist go back to my bible and study all to please him more.

He said of Christ our Saviour, this is my beloved son  and l am wonderfully pleased with him. The Message version says ' This is my Son, chosen and marked by my love, delight of my life. Matt 3:17. Jesus our Lord was a Son like we are sons of God, marked by  God' s love and his heart, actions  and life were pleasing to God. Wow, I love God to testify about me that my life is pleasing to Him, I like Him to brag to his enemy that I give Him great delight.

Immediately God bragged about Jesus, the next chapter Satan came to test him to prove to God that Jesus would fail Him as other men. But Jesus proved God right- he put the enemy of God to flight by his actions and thoughts on the face of seemingly challenge.

Remember that when the enemy comes with his attack; persecution his ultimate goal is to make you take actions that are displeasing to the Father who love you.

Make it a life ambition to live a life that is pleasing to God at all times.

Ask the Holy Spirit to help you.

He is ever ready ready to assist you love God more.

THE SOUL OF MEN SERIES

YOU MAY NEVER LIVE THE MAXIMISED LIFE UNLESS.....

The potentials in every Daughter/Son of Zion is inestimable.  Solutions to the world problems are within every Child of God;

 if only we can learn about the Life of the Spirit and the power of the human soul under the tutelage of the spirit.

Secular Scientists and Technologist are inventing great gadgets, equipment; ideas that keep the  planet earth fruitful according to God's commission in Genesis 1. it means the believer can do much more.

 

God says in the Book of Psalms ‘ye are gods’ and told Moses in Exodus 4:15-16 ‘Aaron will be your mouth for I will put my words into his mouth, you shall be as God unto Him.’

This is the relationship between every regenerated believer and the Almighty. The Bible says ‘Christ in ME, the Hope of glory.

The day you believed in Christ and surrender your heart to God, the Almighty Himself came into your heart and took His abode in your spirit. 

It is not a little ,'god' that came to dwell inside you at the New Birth. It is ‘Yahweh’ Himself that made His abode within you. How Awesome is this Good News?. 

Ephesians  1:11-14,  shows the Holy Spirit is a seal on every Child iof God (showing him or she belongs to God)

The Bible shows that there is no difference between the Holy Spirit and the Almighty as shown  in 1Cor. 2:10.” 

"These are the things God has revealed to us by the Spirit. What we have received is not the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God so that we may understand what God has freely given us."

The Spirit inside the Believer is the Spirit of the Almighty that knows the entire mind of the Almighty and it was the same Spirit that came on Mary and begot Christ Jesus through Mary’s flesh. The Bible stated ‘you have prepared a body for me’.

 The supernatural birth of our Lord Jesus is a prototype of the New birth and buttressed by John1:12 ‘children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will but born of God. (Also read John 3:5-7)

The operation of the Spirit and the spoken Word cannot be over emphasized and  must be understood to enable every believer live a maximized life on earth.

Prophet Ezekiel experienced this dimension of the Spirit and the Word in Ezekiel 2:1. He said ‘when the word was spoken to me, the Spirit entered me. 

God told prophet Jeremiah ‘I have put my words in your mouth. The Bible spoke of my Lord Jesus in the book of Revelation ‘a double edged came out of His mouth’, Isaiah 49:2 says ‘ and He had made my mouth like a sharp sword’. 

John 6:63 says ‘ it is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing, the words that l speak unto you , they are spirit and they are life.

Unless you understand the power of the words you received either through your spirit man or from the Man of God as he preaches, you may not enjoy all that God has for you on earth. 

Read from the Book of Genesis to Revelation, God operates via his Word and The Spirit.  The Book of Psalm says ‘He sent his Spirit and they were created, He withdrew his spirit and they return to dust.

 The Book of Isaiah says God has spoken and his Spirit (other versions reads) his zeal will accomplish it.

The Centurion said  ‘Master you don’t need to come under my roof, just speak the word (my opinion) and I know the Spirit in the word will move to where my servant is and accomplish what you have said. 

And the Bibe noted that immediately Christ spoke the word, that instant the servant was made whole. Psalm 107 say ‘ he sent forth His word and (the word) healed them and delivered them from all their troubles.

INSIGHT ON THE SOUL

You now understand the power of the Word of God that you read and hear either from the pulpit, mass media and from within your spirit man.

 Also, you understand the importance of allowing the Life of the Spirit within your inner man to flow through your soul to your situation.

You must now earnestly work to ensure that your soul and its faculties are in the right state to cooperate with the Holy Spirit.

JESUS TRAINED HIS SOUL TO DO 

THE WILL OF THE FATHER

The Soul of a man comprises of the volition (his will), its intellect (his mind) and its affection (desires, passions and feelings).

These are the faculties through which the Life of the Spirit in your inner man flows to your environment.

Our Lord Jesus employed these various faculties during its earthly ministry. There are  instances in the New Testament which noted that when Jesus Christ our Lord met certain persons in pain,  He had compassion  and healed them. 

This is the Holy Spirit using the soul faculty of affection in Jesus Christ to reach out to the needy. 

Just as the Holy Spirit uses the various facilities of the Human Soul for His operations on earth, the Enemy also desires to employ the same faculties for his purpose of stealing, killing and destroying.

 You chose which master will  use your soul faculties for its operation on earth.

You must understand how important you are to the work of the Almighty. After the fall of Adam and Eve and the murder of Abel, God had to wait for generations before Enoch made a choice to walk with God and was no more.

 Figuratively, it means God will always stoop and look down to planet earth for a man or woman who will seek Him, so that He can show Himself strong on your behalf.

Spirit entities need human bodies to function on earth especially the Soul faculties. When the Almighty came as Jesus Christ in the New Testament, He needed the body provided by Mary for His ministry to humanity. 

So our Lord Jesus had the capacity to laugh, be filled with joy, be sad, be angry (with the selling and buying at the Temple.)  Most of these feelings  originated from the Soul, excerpt for Joy which can be a a fruit of the Spirit, all other emotions are products of the Soul 

In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus Christ employed the use of His volition to do the Will of the Father. He was faced with a critical choice, it was the essence of His coming to planet earth, but the faculty of His  emotion was making a bid to agree with the cry of His flesh and of course the desire of the Enemy.

The Soul of Jesus Christ was grieved, it was reluctant to go through the pain, shame needed to achieve God's purpose for His life. 

The Holy Spirit through Jesus's inner man was saying " Son, you have to go to the Cross and die for the sin of the whole world'.  Feelings within Christ was saying " Haba Father, if you can, let this cup pass over me".

 The Bible says the sweat of Jesus was as blood and not mere water. The battle was a serious one. The power from within His spirit says " Christ, you can do this, you were ordained from the foundation of the earth"

 The Soul's power of feelings and volition says " This cup is too much for you, don't drink from it"

But because Jesus Christ had trained His Soul to always choose the Will of the Father above His will,  ( He said in John " my food is to do the Will of the Father and finish it). 

Therefore, He agreed with the passionate appeal from the Holy Spirit within His spirit and uttered ' Not my will but thy Will be done." So the Bible noted that Jesus Christ offered Himself through the eternal Spirit.

Let's examine the example of King David. David as a Lad has one of the most impressive CVs in the Bible. Sincerely, l think  very few people had as much access as David had to the Almighty.

 He was a man who received mercy from God. No wonder God says the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong. And advocated " I will have mercy on whom l will have mercy.

We appreciate the Almighty for His grace, kindnesses, His justice system and how He allows Himself to be controlled by His Word- ( Once He promise it in His Word, He is obligated to do it)

But God has a card that cannot be touched by either  any man nor the Enemy, it is called His Sovereignty. He is the Sovereign God and has decided to exalt His Seat of Mercy above any other platform.

 Blessed is the man or woman who God decides to show mercy yet such still pursue God's holiness and purity earnestly as if that is the only virtues that qualifies a seeker for God's presence.  

WHY? because such knows that these two virtues pleases the Father.

Many men and women have been shown mercy as a starter and for finisher but such did  not pursue other virtues to remain strong in God's presence and finish strong. 

Back to King David. He was chosen by God because somehow in the busyness on planet earth, David found the key to God's heart even before the smell of a throne came near him. 

God testified to Samuel ' David is a man after God's heart.

David did not start looking for the key to God's heart because he wanted the either the throne or fame. He pursued after God because he knew ' The Almighty is the Best INESTIMABLE Treasure any man/woman can have on the face of the earth.

Sincerely, you don't need to surrender your heart to Christ to have money, fame, wealth even good.health. The benevolent Father gave it to all men for free. 

Satan was ready to give wealth, fame, the earth glory  to Jesus Christ if Christ would only worship him. 

David said in Psalms 27:4 " one thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,"

Nothing sweet like the God of our Lord Jesus Christ. 

Nothing kind like the God of our Saviour

Nothing humble like the God of our Lord Jesus Christ

No body wise like the God of our Lord Jesus Christ

Nobody patient like the God of our Lord Jesus

Nobody understands your flaws and yet still love you like the God of our Lord Jesus Christ

This God is too good, too sweet, too compassionate, slow to anger, abounding in love

Jesus demonstrate who God is when He walked for planet earth

Jesus mission was to go about doing good and delivering people from pains and sorrow which Satan bring to their lives

See free unconditional  love with maximum effects

Armed Robber who deserves eternal Hell, enter heaven for last minute

Na our God be that, the God who dey too good sef for humanity.
