Apostle Peter had.every potential of becoming the Leader of the Church in Jerusalem and the Apostle to the Gentiles has ordained by Grace

The leadership of the New Testament was saddled on Him by divine choice.
We will demonstrate this by events that involved The LORD.

In John 21:2, when Peter  went fishing, the rest of the disciples followed him; this indicates .his power of influence. 

"“I’m going out to fish,” Simon Peter told them, and they said, “We’ll go with you.”   Acts 21:2-3

Again,  when Jesus Christ our LORD appeared to.the.discioles, his question of total commitment and love for His Kingdom was addressed directly to Peter ' 

"Peter, love me more than this? feed.my sheep. John 21: 15-19

Even the devil singled out Peter for the purpose of testing . ( I guess The Enemy was thinking ' strike the shepherd and the sheep will be scattered).  Even Satan recognised the leadership potential of Peter.

History shows that Apostle.James eventually  became the leader of the Church in Jerusalem  ( Acts 15:13 especially 19, 1 Cor 15:17,  Acts 21:18)  Only a leader has the right to give his final judgement on an issue that concerns the global Church.

 And Paul became the Apostle to the Gentiles.   

Man is a tripartite being. The Soul is the house of man',s mind, intellect, faculty of reasuoning etc. Unless your mind is renewed by the Word of God , you will not be able to discern the good and perfect Will of God.

Although God permitted you to do certain things, it does not mean that is His perfect Will on that issue 

In the Book of Acts 10, The LORD wanted to launch Apostle Peter to the next phase of His ministry. And this was to be initiated through the  trance  Peter had. But Peter said 'No' to this calling  because of the Jewish culture of not eating any animal termed unclean.

In this trance Apostle Peter knew that it was the LORD asking him to eat yet his response was not in the affirmative. This is confirmed when a similar issue occurred later in  the Church in Antioch. Galatians 2:11-13

"Then a voice told him, “Get up, Peter. Kill and eat.” “Surely not, Lord!” Peter replied. “I have never eaten anything impure or unclean.” The voice spoke to him a second time, “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.”" Acts 10:13.

The Soul of a believer determines to a large extend if he/she will.walk in the spirit or not as stipulated in Romans 8. Before the New Birth experience, the Soul of a man is filled with information from his. culture, .education.and life experiences.

Unless a believer jettison the old information that does not align with the Scriptures and  replace it with the Word of  God,  ,( Psalm 19:7)one may  never enjoy the life of the Spirit. The believer lives from inside to the outside. The life within should control the manifestations without. An unrenewed mind will hinder this beautiful experience.

Psalm.23:2
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Romans 12:2
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is —his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Ephesians 4:23-24
To be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holines.

The state of a believer soul can hinder him from entering the fullest of God for His life.

 Apostle Paul was a learned Jew, an expert in the laws of Moses; a veteran in the traditions  of the Pharisees and the Sadducees yet he allowed the Laws.of The Christ to renew his mind so that he became an effective Apostle to the Gentles.

A believer mindset which is housed in his Soul can hinder him from becoming all that God has ordained for him. Though you are born again and have the Holy Spirit dwelling in your inner man, an unrenewed Soul can  imprisoned the Life of The Spirit in the inner man.

A believer can live for 120 years and all you ever encounter is the Soul life and not the Life in the spirit 

Renew of the mind and the Soul.is the key to this ailment and The Words of Christ is the Cure!

Love is a Broad Word that is used in many circles. It's various symbols of giving hugs, blowing kisses, having a dreamy eyes towards it subject and many other shows that is a virtue widely accepted by all as very important  I grew up in a environment where the Word Love was mostly used when there is a relationship between the opposite sex.
