ABUSE OF POWER

DONT USE YOUR SPIRITUAL POWER TO CAUSE OTHER PEOPLE POWER

The Person of the Almighty is compassion, mercy and unfailing  love. God will usually introduce Himself as Such in several instances 

As children of the Most High, these characteristics must be our very essence. We must train ourselves to walk in love and only then can we be true representative of our Father in Heaven.

The summary of the Ministry of our LORD is that He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed of the devil for God was with Him.

This must be your pattern for  lifestyle and ministry, for Christ Jesus is our number One mentor, then we have follow other human mentors.

Our Heavenly Father is passionate about people and desire the best for them especially His sons and daughters who believe in Christ.

He is ready to rebuke kings, rulers for their.sakes.
The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. 
He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever; 
he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. 
For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; Psalm 103:8-11

The Word of God says in John 10:10 about Jesus Christ our Saviour:
'The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; 
I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.'

God always want to show mercy and will want his children especially His Servants to learn to show mercy instead of judgement.

THE DISCIPLES WERE TEMPTED TO MISUSE POWER
In Luke 9:53-55, Jesus Christ visited a city and the people rejected Him, this is what His disciples wanted to do against this people 

"When the disciples James and John saw this, they asked, “Lord, do you want us to call fire down from heaven to destroy them?” 
But Jesus turned and rebuked them. 

KING DAVID MISUSED POWER
King David committed adultery with the wife of his servant and to cover up, he killed his servant and married his wife..God has this to say on the issue.

Why did you despise the word of the Lord by doing what is evil in his eyes? .You struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword and took his wife to be your own. 
You killed him with the sword of the Ammonites. 2 Samuel 12;7-9

One popular preacher  said King David was a man after God's heart but a great curser as shown in the book Psalm.

KING AHAB
King Ahab took the vineyard of Naboth and allowed his wife to kill him.

ELISAH AND THE CHILDREN
ELISAH cursed the children who jeered him instead of forgiving their insults.
Elisha cursed Gehazi and his descendants with leprosy for collecting material.reward when it was not time for it.
Gehazi sinned, his descendants were cursed.

NOAH CURSED THE DESCENDANT OF HIS YOUNGEST SON
Noah's son Ham saw his.father' s nakedness when the father was drunk and invited his brothers to see the same.
Was Ham wrong in his decision and actions, Yes, for his brothers did not follow his line of action.

But to.curse a man's descendant instead of the man.and after your death, the man's descendants is only liberated.from   that curse when they realised their redemptive rights in Jesus Christ.

That is surely a case of misuse of power.

CONTEMPORARY MISUSE OF POWER
A man/woman leaves your denomination and you desire,  pray and confess that they will never prosper in the new Church. 
Truly,  they left your denomination but are still children of God.

We must not use our gifts and anointing to place stumbling blocks in the lives of our brethen.
We must chose to forgive though it's not easy. People had offended the writer  and the writer finds it very difficult to forgive.

The writer had offended people too and to some of these offenders; she desired and prayed that something bad would happen to them.
The Spirit had to correct her and is still correcting her that by placing curses or negative words on offender: You have added to my assignment in their lives  especially believers even if you are justified.

You have only use the gifts and anointing of the Spirit to make my job harder in their lives and help the works of Satan to steal, kill and destroy.

May God give us wisdom and grace to walk in love always.

MY CONCEPT OF LOVE

Love is a Broad Word that is used in many circles. It's various symbols of giving hugs, blowing kisses, having a dreamy eyes towards it subject and many other shows that is a virtue widely accepted by all as very important  I grew up in a environment where the Word Love was mostly used when there is a relationship between the opposite sex.
