TRUE WITNESS (Part Two)

THEN, NEBUCHADNEZZAR BECAME A BELIEVER!

"At the end of that time, I, Nebuchadnezzar, raised my eyes toward heaven, and my sanity was restored. 

Then I praised the Most High; I honored and glorified him who lives forever. His dominion is an eternal dominion; his kingdom endures from generation to generation. 

All the peoples of the earth are regarded as nothing. He does as he pleases with the powers of heaven and the peoples of the earth. No one can hold back his hand or say to him: 

“What have you done?” At the same time that my sanity was restored, my honor and splendor were returned to me for the glory of my kingdom. 

My advisers and nobles sought me out, and I was restored to my throne and became even greater than before.

 Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and glorify the King of heaven, because everything he does is right and all his ways are just. And those who walk in pride he is able to humble. Daniel 4:33-36

The power of a WITNESS cannot be overlooked in any Law court . 

Some cases presented in the Court by the Defendant and Persecutor has been judged in favour of a guilty party because  they could produce a Witness though false to back up their claims while the party who is  right but judged wrongly by the Court lost because they could not present doubt- proof witnesses to support their arguments in Court: 

A witness goes a.long way in determining the outcome of any case in court.

Daniel, a Jewish youth was taken captive by an heathen king and placed in the palace under the watch of the idols of king Nebuchadnezzar, but God had ordained Daniel and his three young friends to be TRUE WITNESS, in a land controlled by darkness and these four young men yielded to the training orchestrated by God for the fulfillment of their destiny.

King Nebuchadnezzar shared one of the titles of the Almighty at this period of His life, Daniel made this statement about King Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel 2:

“This was the dream, and now we will interpret it to the king. Your Majesty, you are the king of kings. The God of heaven has given you dominion and power and might and glory; in your hands he has placed all mankind and the beasts of the field and the birds in the sky. Wherever they live, he has made you ruler over them all. You are that head of gold. Daniel 2:36-38

Daniel become a true Witness of the Statement " There is a God in heaven...." 

King Nebuchadnezzar was a god to his people and neighbouring nations, he had assumed a status of a man worshipped by other men, he was worshipped alongside his idols. 

God never ordained a man to be worshipped by other men, it is a strategy and deception from the enemy,  -Is like Satan saying with subtilty

, ' l am not asking you to bow down and worship me, Satan,  but atleast let other men worship you as a god on earth , the Enemy used this same strategy to deceive Eve in the garden of Eden . He told her, ' you will become as gods ....'

Through the testimony and witnessing of Daniel and his three Hebrew friends, God was introduced into the politics, governance and the nation of Babylon and other nations submitted to it. 

The nation of Babylon had a problem, challenge that its wise men, magicians, philosophers and astrologists could not solve. 

These supposed problem solvers of Babylon were true worshippers of the gods of Babylon and had access to the powers of the evil unseen forces of  Babylon yet they could not solve the problem of the human ruler of Babylon.

 BUT,  there is a God in the Heaven called " The Possessor of Heaven and Earth, the Ruler of the kings of the Earth, the God who created all things-  both the unseen forces and the seen."  

This problem was a heaven given opportunity for God' s ambassadors/ representatives in Babylon to bring the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob on the scene of Human History; it was a golden opportunity for Daniel to showcase the God of  the nation of Israel -who dwells in the Heaven and rules in the affairs of men.

"Then Daniel praised the God of heaven and said: “Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are his. He changes times and seasons; he deposes kings and raises up others.

 He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him. I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors: You have given me wisdom and power - Daniel 2:19b-23

This golden opportunity to introduce God to the World came on Daniel and his friends without any notice but they had lived their  lives in such a way that their consecration and commitment to God was intact at all times.

 Daniel was used to seeking God and spending ample time with Him in times of peace and so when trouble came unannounced: So serious that it is a threat to his life, God hidden him in His pavilion, he was able to abide under the shadow of the Almighty because he dwells in the secret place of the Most High.

KING NEBUCHADNEZZAR TESTIMONY OF THE ALMIGHTY

One of the greatest honour any earthly king can have is when another king like himself acknowledges his superiority. King 

Nebuchadnezzar was regarded as the king of kings and if you understand the principle of " where ever there is an earthly king that does not worship the Almighty God- this earthly king is just a front for  evil unseen forces. It means , the demonic powers ruling through 

Nebuchadnezzar acknowledged and bow to the Almighty, who is the true King of all Kings and this beautiful feat was achieved through the witnessing of Daniel and his three Hebrew friends.

I remember this beautiful song by the  Christian Union, of Mapoly, Abeokuta, when l was there as a student,

The whole world is waiting

For the manifestations 

of the Children of God  in our timel

The whole is groaning

Travailing in pains until now

Expecting you to shine as a Child of God

If you don't rise, who will rise?

If you don't shine, who will shine

The Lord is looking into you

To pull down the strongholds of the devil

It's not by power not by might

If God can use anything, he can use you

Why don't you rise and shine as a Child of God.

King Nebuchadnezzar recognised and acknowledged as the king of.kings in Babylon was brought to His knee by Daniel and His friends. HOW?
